Legacy Specialist
Leave a Legacy, Not a Mess.
I help families turn photo overwhelm into a lasting legacy — organizing, protecting, and
preserving the stories, photos, and memories that matter most, in a way your family can
search, share, and enjoy for generations.
30 minutes. No pressure. Just a good next step.
Small, doable steps in your inbox. No spam, ever.
Does any of this sound familiar?
You’ve got photos on your phone, boxes in the closet, albums from decades ago, maybe a hard drive or two you haven’t touched in years. Somewhere in all of that are the people and moments that matter most to you.
But every time you think about doing something with them, it feels like too much. Too many decisions. Too many emotions. Too much to even know where to start.
You’re not behind. You’re not failing. You’re exactly where most families are.
And you don’t have to figure this out alone.

Your photos are scattered across phones, computers, boxes, and mystery USB drives

You inherited a parent’s collection and feel the weight of it

You want your family to actually be able to find these memories someday

You’re worried the names, stories, and context will be lost

You keep meaning to start — but haven’t
If you nodded at even one of those — you’re in the right place.
From scattered to searchable. From overwhelmed to organized.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s making sure the people, places, and stories that matter most don’t get lost along the way.
Together, we’ll help you move from:
Before

- Photos scattered across a dozen places
- Feeling frozen about where to begin
- Boxes inherited after a loss — and no idea what to do
- A phone camera roll you can’t search
- Guilt that you haven’t done something sooner
After

- One organized, searchable, private home for your memories
- A clear starting point that actually makes sense
- Digitized, protected photos your family can access for generations
- Albums with names, stories, and meaning attached
- Peace of mind — and a legacy you’re proud of

Every family’s photo situation is different. I meet you where you are.
Start with a Conversation
Not sure where to begin? A free 30-minute Photo Project Clarity Call helps us figure out what you have, what matters most, and what your next right step looks like.

Protect & Digitize
From printed photos and slides to VHS tapes and old albums, I help you decide what to preserve, how to do it, and where to keep it safe for the long term.
Prints, slides, albums, VHS, and more.
Organize & Make It Findable
I use FOREVER — a private, permanent cloud home for your photos — to build albums, add names and stories, and create a system that makes sense for your family. Finally, photos you can actually find.
Private. Searchable. Shareable. Permanent.
Capture the Stories
The photos show who was there. The stories tell who they were. I help you record a loved one’s memories in their own voice and turn them into a keepsake book, alongside photo books and gifts your family will hold onto.
Their stories, in their own words.
Want a little guidance, a helping hand, or someone to do it all for you? I work with you whichever way fits.
The Photo Legacy Journey
Wherever you are right now, there’s a next step.
Most families don’t start at the beginning. They start in the middle of a mess — and that’s okay. Here’s the path I use to help people move from overwhelm to legacy, one step at a time.

The Inheritor — Realizing what you have.
The boxes, the albums, the stacks of photos, maybe just inherited. This is the moment you see that something needs to happen, and that it matters.

The Curator — Sorting through the overwhelm.
You start looking through it all and realize there’s a lot to decide. This stage is about gathering and sorting, without trying to fix everything at once.

The Protector — Digitizing what matters.
You bring the most important pieces into a safe, permanent place. This is where real protection begins.

The Finder — Making it searchable.
Photos you can’t find can’t be enjoyed. Albums, names, dates, and stories turn a collection into a family archive.

The Legacy Builder — Sharing it forward.
Books, gifts, recorded stories. The work becomes something your family can hold, share, and pass down.
Not sure where you are? Let’s figure it out together.
Hi, I’m Debbie.
Your Photo Helper and Legacy Specialist.
I know what it feels like to have more photos than you know what to do with — and to keep putting off the project because it feels too big.
I also know the quiet heartbreak of losing someone and realizing the stories you meant to save… weren’t. My grandmother lived to 100, but by the time I wanted her stories, she could no longer tell them. That’s what drives this work.
After 32 years in corporate life and an MBA from UT Austin, I built Your Photo Helper around something I’ve always cared about: making sure the people, places, and memories that matter most don’t get lost.
I’m a FOREVER Ambassador, a memory keeper, and a family historian. And honestly? I’m still working on my own photos, too. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to begin.

What families are saying.
“Debbie does a great job. [We have a] lovely book of photos of my daughter’s wedding. I would certainly recommend Your Photo Helper to friends. Debbie communicates well and understands her clients needs.”
C.N.
“Debbie is the best! She has helped me so much and I have made a lot of progress with 30 plus years of photos that were everywhere in my house. Now, I have half organized, in one place, and making books for people!”
S.W.
“She is more knowledgeable about the technical aspects of completing a project and also owns equipment to make the job easier, such as a scanner. She has completed similar projects for others and has many ideas to share. I need someone to seemingly minimize this huge undertaking. No job is too big for her.”
S.M.
“Debbie is excellent at helping you tell your story.”
R.G.
“Debbie does beautiful, very professional work and I also wanted to hear what kind of ideas she had.”
J.N.
“Debbie Schott is a great person to work with. She has always been very helpful in what ever I’ve needed. I cannot say enough praise about Debbie or the company. We…are very impressed with the family book.”
B.F.
